Triple Crown
The 2010 Australian Electric Off Road National Titles were held in Townsville between the 6th and the 8th of August 2010. The track was very consistent throughout the weekend thanks to the wonderful Townsville club members and grooved up very nicely by the time qualifying started. Average lap time was around 21 seconds and the control tire was the Losi X2000 in the buggy class and Kingpins in truck. Blockheads were used on the front of the 4wd buggy classes.
Scott Kirchner added three Modified Titles to his New Zealand National Titles and Australian Stock Title which he won in Maitland. He was clearly a step above the rest of the field and definitely the driver of the meeting. Logan Symes won 2wd and Alan Stonz Truck both winning their first National Title and Stock Veteran Chris Marshall won 4wd.Also Short Course Truck was a demonstration class and this was won by local Keith Williams.

Alan Stonz drove back through the field after being well down to take fourth.

Leg 3. Logan Symes did not start well and let David Lawrance into the lead with Alan Stonz right on their hammer. On lap 6 the two leaders came together and Logan was able to capitalise and take the win. David Lawrance slipped down to fourth but drove strongly to finish second and Stonz was third.
